Today A mother said goodbye to her only child.

A dear friend had to say good bye to her only son today. A "Gifted" life, cut short by illness. Words....there are none!  meaning.......can't see that just yet.  All that I can say is that A Mother said goodbye to the best part of herself, Her son.....whom she devoted herself to...supported, laughed with, watched grow into manhood, but would never get the chance to see the fruits of his loin.
Today A Good Mother said farewell to her only son!

IF I COULD GO BACK..............

If I could go back.......I would definately take the time to experience the world with a new pair of lenses...Through these eyes I would see a flower and totally appreciate each color, each petal and try to obtain a mental picture of where that beautiful flower came from....  If I could go back.........I would  take the time to listen, listen to all of nature's natural sounds, the sound of a cool breeze blowing ever so gently, but creating a signature a whistling sound.  If I could go back.......I would take the time to appreciate every developing gift and talent I possessed and could have nurtured .

Well since I can not go back........I think I will take the time now........

Living One Day at a time.

Living " One Day at a time".....sounds very simple, take each day as it comes, easy come easy goes!  We hear those sayings all the time.  How about taking each word and adding meaning to it.  "living", well this is a critical one...Is breathing Living? well yes in the physical sense, however living involves the mind, body and soul and spirit, all  working together in harmony.  One can be an empty shell walking around just "physically living". So if you walk out your door with your "Mind, Body, Soul and Spirit" intact, then you are truly "Living One Day at a time." We must take time to improve each of these vital parts of our lives. So the people we surround ourselves with, the places we go, the foods we eat, the things we read or need to read and the "Words We Speak".  "From My lips to God's Ears"...

Instant or Brewed....

There's nothing like a hot cup of Java in the morning......I am so hooked on freshly brewed coffee. Hazelnut, French vanilla, brewed from fresh coffee beans.....I am spoiled now to the point where a regular cup of coffee does not cut it anymore.

Share your favorite coffee....

Do you spend enough time pampering yourself

Victoria Secrets, Bath & Body, Sephora, MAC.......Just to name a few...Do you treat and pamper yourself enough. I think it's important on a daily basis to take that extra 15 minutes daily to put on that sweet body lotion, use that pumis stone in the shower, shave those legs(if it applies) put on your favorite fragrance (Dolce and Gabana The One, one of my favorites) apply lipstick, lipgloss, eyeliner, face powder, etc (if you are into make up), pick out that special out fit ( don't just throw on the first thing you see) After all, if not now when......

re-inventing one's self!

There comes a time when you feel that you must re-invent yourself. . What I mean is "sharpen what skills you have, add some new ones and possibly get rid of those things that are no longer useful to you as an individual. The question is how do you begin. I think a careful examination of how we function on a daily basis is a good place to start. Scrutinize our interactions with the people around us, our reations to certain situations and a new focus on where we see our selves going..When we set new goals for ourselves it may be necessary to re-invent ourselves to accomodate our new goals, because the way we used to think about certain things may not help us to achieve the new goals we have set for ourselves. We may be getting in our own way...

So you're 40 now, what now?

So it seems that when a woman turns forty, she is expected to roll over and play dead! A forty year old man is said to get "better with age"...Double standards? YES! I am forty two, and I feel that I am better at everything now than when I was twenty something, or thirty something.....I feel better physically and personally I look great! (lol) My mental acuity is much more enhanced..I'm a much better test taker than when I was in college and statistical data seems to make more sense now than before....So, in my opinion turning forty was like turning on a very bright light bulb......I have no fears of speaking my mind about what I want, need, and what I am willing to do to achieve it...It brings new meaning to "Saying what you mean". I feel that my journey is now begining, I have more goals now that I am eager to accomplish and I don't see myself slowing down any time soon....There is a certain comfort that I feel at this point in knowing I have experienced many things, but there's more that I am willing to experience.

How do you feel about this subject?
